Ben Affleck, His Lexus, His Dogs, and His Burger

Man, Ben Affleck really gets the most out of his vehicles. The Town, Argo, and Armageddon star uses his brand new Lexus LS Hybrid to transport around his little Jennifer Garner anchored family of course, but that’s not all folks. He also uses to to get tickets, hang out with dogs, and eat burgers; the guy really knows how to use his ride, and it’s quite a ride he has. The Lexus LS Hybrid is both good for the enviroment, and ultra fancy; it cost him well over $100 thousand, and is most likely fully loaded. It’s a great car for him because it says “I’m ridiculously rich, but I still love my family and the earth”, it’s like something a really rich character from Avatar (did people forget about that steaminf pile yet?) would drive, but better, because Ben Affleck drives it and he directed Gone Baby, Gone, and that’s a way better movie than Avatar. By the way folks, bonus points to whoever can photoshop Affleck eating the burger with the dogs while getting the ticket.

Famous Cars: Arrested Development’s Stair-Car

When you think of all-time great comedy series Arrested Development‘s best running gags, many things come to mind. Just to name a few: the Bluth family’s inability to impersonate a chicken, Tobias’ (David Cross) jean shorts, GOB’s (Will Arnett) magician act, and “I’ve made a huge mistake”. Here at Celebrity Cars though, our favorite running joke was the Bluth’s only mode of tranportation: The Stair-Car. After George Bluth Sr. gets sent to prison, the Bluths lose most of their posessions and are left to drive around in the stair-car that used to allow them access to their now-impounded private jet. Usually driven by Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), the car doesn’t run very well (bad breaking distance, and we believe no power steering), and was always in danger of getting “hang-ons” (people jumping on the stairs at stop lights). In fact, during Michael’s visits to see George Sr., the car facilitated a couple of prison breaks with hang-ons and even someone running clean up the stairs and over the prison wall. With an Arrested Development mini-series and feature film in the works, we should see the stair-car back in action soon, and we’re nothing but excited about it.

Andre 3000 Drives A Porsche…Straight To Jail

Based on the flamboyant stage persona he has portrayed over the years, you would think that Andre 3000 of Outkast rode around in a blimp shaped like a platform shoe, or in the Oscar Mayer Weiner-Mobile, but that’s not the case. He actually can be found behind the wheel of an expensive yet not too flashy silver 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera. He can also be found behind bars, albeit only once, because of his ride. He was caught a little while back going 109 mph in a 65mph zone by police outside of Atlanta, and ended up being arrested; he seems to have avoided any real trouble though. Maybe he got lucky and the judge was a woman with the last name “Jackson”; so he just sang his way to innocence. Either way, for a guy making as much cash as Andre 3000, a Porsche is actually a pretty modest purchase, so we suspect he may still being hiding his shoe-blimp somewhere.

Akon’s Fleet Of Lamborghinis

Akon has come a long way. It must feel good to know that at one point you were protecting your butt in jail for grand theft auto, and now that same butt has to choose what car it sits in everyday. Akon is a known car fanatic, and among his most prized possessions are his two Lamborghinis. He has both a Murcielago (White with red interior), and a Gallardo (Silver). It must be like deciding which supermodel to sleep with when he picks which one to drive every day, except the car’s won’t nag him afterward or ask him to buy them things…unless he has that technology, which is possible considering how much money that dude makes these days. Keep in mind, these are just two of the custom cars he has in his garage, and they might not even be the best two. So if you ever see Akon, watch what the Senegalese Hip Hop star drives off in, it’ll probably be something awesome.
