Despite the huge success of some of his work, most notably Borat:Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Sacha Baron Cohen usually manages to keep a low profile. However, his character in his next film does nothing of the sort, and thus drives around in a gold plated Dartz Kombat. Seen here on the set of The Dictator, that Russian-made beast runs for around $200,000 (though we aren’t sure how much the gold plating costs), and will be the main vehicle of a lead character who’s based on Saddam Hussein…yes, that Saddam Hussein…and yes it’s a comedy. Anyway, Dartz is a company known for producing vehicles capable of withstanding war, that still look fancy enough to take out on the town, you know, for warlord who likes to party. We’re not sure if driving around in a Dartz was the idea of the director, or of Cohen, but we know that the Hugo and A Kind Of Magic star is going to get big laughs behind the wheel.
