Victor Martinez’s Camaro

Victor Martinez, catcher and first baseman for the Detroit Tigers, has had a pretty nice little career. He’s appeared in 4 all-star games, and has taken home a Silver Slugger Award; granted, he’s not a Hall of Famer by any stretch of the imagination, but he’s going to be remembered, and he’s always going to be able to afford a nice car. He’s proven that last part by buying himself a new Chevy Camaro SS convertible, and then having it customized by MC Customs. The whole thing cost him less than $40 thousand, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a really nice car. It has a gorgeous black and orange paint job, and somehow pulls off orange rims. This is the kind of car that says “I’m rich, but I’m not mean about it”, and we respect that kind of restraint of the purse-strings. On a side note, his nickname is “V-Mart”, so if times get rough, don’t be surprised to see him sell his Camaro and open his own chain of convenience stores…we’re not going to finish that joke, you should have gotten it.

Elle Macpherson’s New Mercedes-Benz Truck

Elle Macpherson hasn’t really aged in the last two decades, it’s seriously impressive, she might be a wizard. Considering her near magic-powers level of not-getting-old-ness, her Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG truck isn’t that impressive; it’s really nice, but it’s a James Bond situation. She’s not cool because she has the car, the car is cool because Elle Macpherson is in it. The ride ran her well over $100 thousand, and it’s a great car, but if Elle Macpherson got into an old Honda with spinner hubcaps, people would be impressed. She should really push the boundaries of her situation and start driving around in a weird van or something, see if she still looks great; she will.

Eddie Murphy’s New Mercedes Errand Runner

Check out Eddie Murphy in his brand new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG…that he recently took out to get coffee. Some would say that that’s too much, that a SLS AMG should be saved for special occasions like premieres and charity events, but we disagree. We like to think that if you buy a car, you should use it, not leave it in a garage until you find a time when you need to look cool. So when we see the Tower Heist star out and about running errands in a car that’s worth more than all of our homes put together, we can’t help but kind of appreciate that he’s getting his money’s worth out of his purchase. The only thing that would garner more respect from us would be if someone snapped a picture of him with a bunch of 2x4s sticking out of the butterfly doors while he held onto a bungee cord to keep them from flying out all over the highway.

Nicki Minaj Likes Lamborghinis

Nicki Minaj is on top of the world right now. Her platinum album Pink Friday, is tearing up the charts, while she’s tearing up the road in her red Lamborghini. In the video below, she’s driving around in a silver version of her current ride as a promotion for Miami’s Unique Autosports. She’s also apparently dressed like some sort of space man. Anyhow, the Trinidadian-born rapper also found herself in trouble over the pink Lamborgini that she drove around in for her video for hit single Massive Attack. According to a lawsuit filed against Minaj by the rental agency, someone caused over $10,000 worth of damage during shooting of the video, and Minaj didn’t pay for it all. So here’s the rundown, she got sued over a pink Lambo, became a spaceman in a silver Lambo, and wore Zubaz pants in a red Lambo. I guess the red one wins simply for not putting her in court or in orbit.
