Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche Collection

Who arrrrre these people that collect cars? Well, you are Jerry Seinfeld, you are. The Emmy Award winning former star of Seinfeld is the owner of one of the largest Porsche collections in the world. His collection is big enough that he once rented out a hanger at the Santa Monica Airport to store it. It’s so big that when he moved to New York, he spent $1.4 million to renovate a two story garage on West 83rd Street in Manhattan. It’s so big that… well, he owns 47 Porsches. Among them are multiple vintage 911′s, 10 Boxsters, the highly publicized blue 1955 550 Spyder, and the most rare of rare $700,000 silver Porsche 959 (one of less than 350 built worldwide in the mid 1980s). 47 Porsches…that means he only has to drive each one less than ten times a year, except the 959. It’s not street legal since Porsche refused to have the line tested for emissions and crash safety in the U.S.. So what better way to spend almost a million bucks than on a car you can’t drive? Oh wait, just about anything. If I had that much money I’d pay the biggest bum I could find one dollar per slap to slap Jerry Seinfeld 700,000 times for wasting that much money on something he can’t even use.
