Some stars buy Lamborghinis, other buy Maybachs; Justin Timberlake trumped them all when he decided to buy himself an Indy Car. Before we go any further: NO, Justin Timberlake doesn’t drive around the streets of Los Angeles in a helmet at 200mph. However, Timberlake’s clothing line, William Rast (known for its line of premium jeans), sponsos an Indy Car driven by veteran wheel-man Dan Wheldon. Oh yeah, one little fact: the car won the Indy 500 this year! Again, Timerlake doesn’t drive the car, but if you want to talk about smart celebrity car puchases, it doesn’t get any more intelligent than sponsoring the vehicle that wins the biggest race in the world. So just to make sure we’ve got it all straight: Timberlake has a hugely successful music career in which he’s won six Grammys, a successful acting career that includes two Emmys and roles in films like The Social Network and In Time, and he’s a successful Indy-Car owner. Wow, we really wish we could hate him…but we can’t, he seems like a nice guy…ugh.
